Pricing & Payment

What is the MVP Loyalty Program?

Every patient that shops with us in-store is asked to enroll in our MVP Loyalty Program, which credits 10% of every purchase to their account. MVP Credit earned on a purchase becomes available during the next transaction. As an example, if your total at checkout is $100, then $10 of MVP Credit is automatically applied to your account. You can either use your MVP Credit as a discount during the next transaction or save it, and allow your credit to build with every purchase. There are no limits!
Additionally, your MVP Credit is accessible as long as you hold a valid medical card. If your medical card expires, you do not lose your credit. As soon as you obtain a new medical card, you will regain access to the credit on your account.

What payment options does Maple Valley Pharms offer?

In-Store: We accept debit cards, cash and MVP Credit as payment. Delivery: We accept debit cards and cash. Online: At this time, we are unable to process payments online. We will accept payment at the point of contact (in-store, pick up and delivery) with a Maple Valley Pharms representative.

Complete Debit Payment: How does it work?

We're excited to offer the first complete debit payment method in the Maine Cannabis Industry! This means that we are able to process all payments with a debit card to the exact amount at checkout or at the time of delivery. No more round-ups! Previously: Up until August 21st, 2021 all debit card transactions required a roundup to the nearest $10 or a stop at the ATM for cash.

Can I pay with a credit card?

No, we cannot accept credit cards. This is because marijuana is still a federally illegal substance, and most credit providers are federally regulated.

What are the pricing tiers for flower?

Maple Valley Pharms prices its flower according to the amount we pay the supplier, and not by any predetermined quality. This is because we want all of our patients to have fair and equal access to high quality medicine in each tier. There are four separate pricing tiers: Bronze Tier, Silver Tier, Gold Tier and Platinum Tier. The before-tax pricing of each tier is as follows. Bronze Tier: 1/8 ounce: $20 1/4 ounce: $35 1/2 ounce: $65 1 ounce: $125 Silver Tier: 1/8 ounce: $30 1/4 ounce: $55 1/2 ounce: $105 1 ounce: $190 Gold Tier: 1/8 ounce: $35 1/4 ounce: $65 1/2 ounce: $125 1 ounce: $240 Platinum Tier: 1/8 ounce: $40 1/4 ounce: $75 1/2 ounce: $150 1 ounce: $280

Medical vs. Recreational

Medical vs. Recreational vs. Adult-Use: The Differences

First and foremost, the terms "Recreational" and "Adult-Use" are interchangeable and refer to the same entity. The biggest differences between "Medical" and "Recreational / Adult-Use" facilities come down to taxation, products available and licensure required. In terms of taxation, medical marijuana and medical edibles are still taxed at 5.5% and 8%, respectively. In the Recreational / Adult-Use market, taxation on marijuana products is higher (10% or more depending on the municipality). The products available in the adult-use market also vary from those sold at medical facilities. This difference mostly applies to the potency allowed per package of edibles. Adult-Use facilities are required to cap edible potencies at 100mg per package. Significantly higher potencies are available at medical facilities. Lastly, individuals who hold a medical license can shop at medical and adult-use facilities. Individuals who do not hold a medical license can only shop at an adult-use facility.

Is Maple Valley Pharms a Medical or Adult-Use Facility?

We are a medical facility and we do require medical certifications for THC product purchases. CBD product purchases DO NOT require a medical card.

Does Maple Valley Pharms offer Medical Card Certifications?

As of September 9th, 2021 we have resumed medical card certifications through an in-house medical provider.

The Benefits of a Medical Card

Medical card holders have access to significantly lower prices at medical facilities and a greater variety of products than are currently available in the recreational market. Medical card holders also have access to higher potency products. Additionally, a vast majority of medical facilities in Maine are locally owned and operated by state-licensed Caregivers.

Can I buy CBD if I do not have a Medical Card?

Yes, you can buy CBD products without a medical card.

What is the process for obtaining a Medical Card?

Requirements: All applicants must be a Maine State Resident. A valid State I.D. must be presented at the time that the application is submitted. There is a $40 application fee. The Process: First, individuals have the option to download a copy of the application here or visit our storefront at 279 Main Street in Waterville to pick up a copy. Please fill out the application thoroughly and return it to a budtender at our storefront location. At this time, the Budtender will photocopy a valid State of Maine I.D. and ensure that the application is complete. A $40 application fee is due at the time of submission. Once the application is submitted, applicants can expect to receive a call from our in-house medical provider the same day. Please be aware that the call will come from a blocked number. At this time, the application will be discussed and the applicant is encouraged to ask any questions they may have. Once the consult has been completed and the application approved, applicants will be emailed a temporary PDF version of their medical card. A hard copy of the medical card will be dropped off at our storefront within 24 hours - we will notify the applicant via phone as soon as we receive their card. Once applicants have received their temporary medical card PDF, they may visit our storefront and begin shopping!

What happens if I lose my Medical Card?

Medical Cards can be reprinted if yours has been misplaced. If you originally obtained your medical card through Maple Valley Pharms and need your card reprinted, send an email to marshal@maplevalleypharms.com.
